What is Dream Analysis?
Did you know dreams can also reveal feelings that we have repressed or hidden?
The therapeutic method of dream analysis is most well-known for its application in psychoanalysis. Sigmund Freud developed dream analysis, or dream interpretation, as a method of accessing this unconscious information since he saw dreams as "gateway" to the unconscious mind.
Dream Analysis is a type of integrative therapy process, a part of metaphorical therapy in which the therapist asks the right questions to guide the client in the right direction to understand the messages left by their subconscious in the dreams. Dream symbols and signs have meanings that are customised according to the clients past experiences, beliefs and thoughts and thus dream analysis helps find the meaning that is not general but very much personal to the client in relation to their dream.
